OFFICIAL RULES
- Must be 21 years of age to purchase and/or sell tickets. Only one (1) individual may be identified
as the purchaser (or buyer) of the raffle ticket. Tickets may be purchased via the internet, by
calling the Schlarman Development Office, by mail, at designated ticket outlets or from raffle
salespersons. The Schlarman Development Office will mail a verification postcard to the primary
registered ticket buyer once your check or credit card has been processed. Please allow two weeks
for your confirmation to arrive. If said notice is returned to Schlarman High School without a
forwarding address, no further attempt will be made to deliver the notice. Schlarman High School
and its volunteers assume no liability for lost, late, misdirected, illegible or undelivered entries.
- Only the first 6,000 paid tickets received by the Schlarman Development Office will be registered.
Other monies will be returned to the sender.
- In the event that a minimum of 3,000 tickets are not sold by April 4, 2008, the committee reserves
the right to withdraw the prizes not awarded and pay 50% of the net proceeds up to $100,000 to one
winner.
- Checks and or credit cards that are denied or returned for insufficient funds or other reasons will be
subject to a $25 penalty and the ticket will be void until cash or a money order is received to cover
said ticket.
- The primary person named on the ticket will be awarded the prize and be responsible for all taxes
(Federal and State) incurred. No portion of the cost of the ticket is tax deductible. Schlarman is
required by law to report winnings of $600 and over (on all drawing winnings including the 50/50)
to the Internal Revenue Service and to withhold appropriate taxes on winnings of $5,000 and over.
Winners must claim possession of the prize by the following dates or forfeit the prize: Early Bird
Prize- April 15, 2008 and Main Prizes June 5, 2008.
- Payday drawings will be held in the Schlarman Development office on the following dates;
February 22, 29, March 7, April 4, 11, 18, 25, and May 2. The Payday drawings for the week of
March 14th and an additional $500 St. Patrick’s Day drawing will be held during the Early Bird
Drawing on March 15th. No drawings will be held on Good Friday, March 21st and during Spring
Break on Friday, March 28th. Winners will be notified and prize mailed to primary name and
address on ticket.
- All employees and volunteers of Schlarman High School are eligible to win drawings. However
Schlarman High School and parish affiliated organizations are not eligible (examples: Home &
School groups, Booster organizations, special fund drives, etc.)
- Payday winners are eligible for subsequent Payday Drawings as well as the Early Bird and Main
Drawings. Early Bird winner is eligible for the Main Drawing. For the Main Drawing, winners will
be drawn from the grand prize through 100th. Prizes for the main drawing will be announced in
reverse order. A complete winner list will be posted on www.schlarmanhighschoolraffle.com and is
available by mail per request. All winners, by entering, authorize Schlarman High School to
publish their name and likeness on the website and for it to be used in other promotional materials
by Schlarman.
- If no parish is designated for $10 donation, proceeds will benefit Schlarman High School.
