How many tickets will be sold and what are my odds of winning?

Only the first 6,000 tickets registered and processed by the Schlarman Development Office will be included in the drawings. We will award 120 prizes making the odds 1 in 50 if all 6,000 tickets are sold. Return to Top

What is the cost of a ticket and how many can I purchase?

Each ticket costs $100 and there is no limit on how many tickets a single individual can purchase. The more tickets you buy the better your odds of winning! Return to Top

Can I pool my cash together with friends and family to buy a ticket?

Yes, you can buy multiple tickets with family and friends and then split the winnings. The details involved in splitting the winnings will be the sole responsibility of the winners. The official winner is the name listed as the primary name on the ticket. Return to Top

How can I purchase a ticket and can I purchase more than one ticket at a time?

Yes, you can purchase multiple tickets at one time. Tickets are available for purchase online, by phone, by mail (form available online) and at various locations in the Danville area. Yes, you can purchase multiple tickets at one time. Return to Top

How can I pay for my ticket?

Tickets may be purchased by cash, check , Visa or MasterCard. You may mail a check to Schlarman High School Development Office, 2112 N. Vermilion, Danville, IL 61832. You may call toll free 800-747-0880 or locally 217-442-1184 or, if you prefer to pay with cash, please call us for a list of local outlets. Is my credit card number secure?

Yes, your credit card information is collected on a secure server and is encrypted for your security. Return to Top

How soon will I receive a verification of my ticket purchase?

Please allow 2 weeks for your verification postcard to arrive. Please note you will only receive one verification postcard per orderregardless of how many tickets are purchased at that time. Return to Top

My verification did not contain a ticket number, what is my ticket number?

Our raffle tickets are numbered by a self advancing numbering machine as they are successfully processed for accounting purposes only. The actual ticket with all name and address information is what is drawn at the drawings. The number has no significance to the ticket buyer. Return to Top

When are the drawings and where are they held? (all times listed are CST)

The Pay Day drawings will be held on the Schlarman High School grounds at approximately 3:00 p.m. on the following dates; February 22, 29, March 7, (March 15th to be drawn during the Early Bird party at Turtle Run Banquet Center), April 4, 11, 18, 25 and May 2, 2008. The Early Bird Drawing is set for Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Turtle Run Banquet Center, 332 E. Liberty Lane, Danville, IL. The doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the Early Bird drawing will be held at 9:00 p.m. immediately following we will draw the 2-$250 Payday drawings for the week and a special $500 St. Patrick’s Day drawing. The Main Drawing will be Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the Knights of Columbus, 310 Bryan Avenue, Danville, IL. The doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the drawing will begin at 8:00 p.m. In order to enter the grounds of the Main Drawing you must be a supporter of the Schlarman Raffle. Tickets are registered via computer as they are processed and buyer’s names will be verified by computer printout at the door. Please bring a photo ID. Return to Top

What is the latest date I can purchase or order a tickets? (all times listed are CST)

Please note only 6,000 tickets will be sold. All dates and times are contingent on ticket availability. To be included in the weekly Pay Day Drawings, we must receive your paid ticket/ticket order by 12:00 Noon on the day of the drawing. For the Early Bird Drawing, online and mail orders must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14th. You may charge by phone until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15th. Tickets will be available at the raffle tent on the Schlarman campus at the corner of Vermilion and Winter streets until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15th. Tickets will also be available at the door of Turtle Run beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. In the event that 6,000 tickets have not been sold prior to the Main Drawing, online and mail orders will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2nd. You may charge tickets by phone until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3rd. Tickets will be available at the raffle tent on the Schlarman campus at the corner of Vermilion and Winter streets until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3rd. Tickets will also be available at the door of the Knights of Columbus beginning at 5:00 p.m. and sold until 7:45 p.m. as long as tickets are available. ONLY 6,000 TICKETS WILL BE SOLD! Return to Top

If I purchase a ticket before the Early Bird Drawing, am I still eligible for the Main Drawing prizes?

Yes, ALL tickets, Pay Day winners and the winner of the Early Bird, are included in the Main Drawing. Also Pay Day winners are included in subsequent Pay Day Drawings and the Early Bird Drawing as well. Return to Top

Do I have to be present to win at any of the drawings?

No, you do not need to be present at any of the drawings. The winners will receive written notice of their prize. Return to Top

How will I know if I win a prize?

All prize winners will be notified by mail. A complete winners list will be posted on our website at www.schlarmanhighschoolraffle.com and is available per request by mail. Return to Top

Do the prize drawings still occur if all tickets are not sold?

Yes, all prize drawings occur if 6,000 tickets are not sold, however in the event that a minimum of 3,000 tickets are not sold by April 4, 2008, the committee reserves the right to withdraw the prizes not awarded and pay 50% of the net proceeds up to $100,000 to one winner. Return to Top

If I am a winner, am I still eligible for future Schlarman High School raffle drawings?

Absolutely. You may enter as often as you wish in all future raffles and drawings at Schlarman High School. Return to Top

Can my raffle ticket be used as a tax deduction?

No. The IRS has ruled that a raffle ticket is NOT tax deductible, but you should check with your tax advisor for additional information. Return to Top

Can I "gift" my winnings to another person?

Yes. When you are contacted about your winnings and provide identification you can declare the name of the person to receive the winnings. The primary name on the ticket is responsible for all taxes and fees. You can also donate your winnings back to Schlarman High School. Return to Top

Do you send unsolicited mail?

The mailing and email address you provide is only used to provide information on the current and future Schlarman High School raffles. If at any time you wish to discontinue receiving any information of this nature, please contact us. According to our privacy policy we do not sell, rent or use your information except in connection with the Schlarman High School Raffle. Return to Top
